Keep Akron Beautiful operates the Graffiti Wipeout System, a graffiti removal service dedicated to maintaining the appearance and safety of public property throughout the City of Akron. In 2025 alone, Keep Akron Beautiful removed 269 graffiti tags, helping restore neighborhoods and discourage repeat vandalism.

Because one agency oversees the program, residents, Akron Police, and all City departments can quickly report graffiti and ensure fast response times. Keep Akron Beautiful was selected to manage the system due to our ability to focus on immediate removal—typically within 24–48 hours—a proven strategy for preventing graffiti from reappearing. Our long-time involvement with the national Graffiti Hurts® program by Keep America Beautiful, Inc. further strengthens our work by providing educational tools and community-wide strategies for reducing graffiti and tagging.

How Graffiti Removal Works

Public Property- KAB provides graffiti removal free of charge on public property within the City of Akron. To report graffiti, call 3-1-1 or 330-375-2311.

Private Property- Graffiti removal is available for private property at a cost of $95/hour. To request service, call 330-375-2116 ext. 1.
